Falling into October

Falling into October

It’s the beginning of October and it feels like the beginning of July here in Connecticut, but nevertheless it is officially fall! This month we’re featuring four pieces that remind us of the season.

First up, in the spirit of Halloween and all things gothic, are our Skull Bookends. Designed and manufactured by the luxury brand Eichholtz, each skull is crafted from antique brass with a stainless steel base. They are the perfect place to store Edgar Allan Poe poems and Shakespeare’s Hamlet 😉… Or perhaps it’s sometimes fun to add a little unexpected edge to the room.

Next, one of the newest editions to our store are our Feather Pillows. This stunning peacock feather print by Matthew Williamson pops against it’s black background. For extra pizzazz we bordered them with faux fur trim, making the pillows a wild but glamorous room accent.

A few things come to mind when thinking of Autumn, for instance, textiles and food. Let our Giggle Pouf Donut Stools be the perfect combination of that. They’re upholstered in a colorful tweed textile in the shape of one of the most delicious treats to have this season.

Last is our Rooted Credenza Table. A truly unique and one of a kind piece designed by our very own Jhon Ortiz. What makes this piece stand out among it’s Mid-Century Modern style is the top. It features a handmade wallpaper that was formed from recycled pulp composed of salago and mulberry tree fibers. The wallpaper was then solidified within layers of polymer coating to create a natural looking effect on the wood. It’s as if roots have grown from the table itself.

So here’s to all things Fall! May the apple picking, cider donut eating and pumpkin carving activities commence🍁
